1 map : colored ; 36 x 27 cm
On the bottom left, outside the neatlines "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1838, by T. G. Bradford, in the Clerk's Office, of the District Court of Massachusetts". While it may therefore seem obvious that this is from the 1838 1st edition of Bradford's atlas, we cannot be 100% sure. The maps from that atlas appear in other editions and the Maine map from the 1841 version with just the maps and the 1842 2nd edition have the 1838 date. As the colour palette differs from copy to copy, it is impossible to determine which atlas our map is from.
