The English Pilot, 4th Book was published and re-published several times between 1737 and 1784. While the inclusion of this map with general spelled Generall is well documented in the various editions (1760, 1767, 1775 and 1780), the style of the cartouche is not. It is therefor impossible to determine which edition our map is from. Walter notes ca. 1745 however it does not seem to have been published in 1745.
