CARTE DE L'ACADIE, ISLE ROYAL, et Païs Voisins Pour servir a l'Histoire Générale des Voyages. Par M.B. Ing'r de la Marine
Map of Acadia, Isle Royale and surrounding country to serve the Histoire Générale des Voyages by Mr. B., engineer of the Navy
Jacques Nicolas Bellin
Uses Paris as the prime meridian.
1 map : colored ; 20 x 32 cm
This map differs from the 1st state by a change in the title spelling of Acadie, the addition of “ Tome 14. in 8°. Page 225.” to the bottom right and the correct spelling of Françoise. Despite the notation in the cartouche, these differences are proof that this map is from the untitled atlas volume of Abregé Histoire Générale des Voyages published between 1780-1786. (Kershaw 783)
